Hello there, friends, hi

I have been sniffing the air hoping for a sign of Spring. How about you? Is it getting warmer where you are?

While we wait for stronger sun and longer days, here are some things we have been thinking about lately... I hope you enjoy.

Also—we are opening up ad space in these Love Letters. Don't worry! We will only promote products we have tried and genuinely love. If you are a small brand and would like to learn more, you can reply to this email and we'll get in touch! Our hope is that this will be a way for us to share more independent makers with you (our favorite).

Thanks for being here, we are so lucky.

Love,

Carissa xo

Here are a few things we're thinking about this month.

Virginia Woolf's idea of privacy. (I loved this essay.)

These checkered clips make me wish I had long hair.

A color & pattern combo to cheer up your bathroom.

Cute plant calendar.

What is love in a meaningless universe? My interview with Wendy Syfret.

I have heard such good things about the film All That Breathes.

James Baldwin's take on the distance between friends.

YES.

While I'm on the topic of ceramics, Julie Cloutier.

Dream cardigan. Dream jeans.

How to help the earthquake relief effort in Turkey & Syria.

Two of my favorite thinkers together: Sophie Calle and Lauren Elkin.

A table set for spring.

Leah's colorful benches for a much needed supportive housing project.

This article takes on a topic that fascinates me to no end: imposter syndrome. In particular, the idea of a distinction between a "false self" and a "true self" and how to mend the distance between them.

And, how to cultivate a purpose.

Lastly, our new FLORA notebooks with my friend of 20 years Christina Labey of Conveyor Studio for spring flower energy.

Want to meet up in person?

Gabby has some really interesting re-frames on how we think about a man's responsibility - if you agree or disagree, they will def change the way you think about the issue... I promise.
